Welcome to our Arts-Based Research Studio’s blog.

At the University of Alberta. Dr. Diane Conrad, Assoc. Professor/Faculty of Education, is the studio’s founder and creative director. While our other web site is being assembled we will be using this site to share content concerning our activities at the Arts-Based Research Studio. Included will be

  • Posts for up coming Arts-Based Group Discussion meetings
  • Special dates for performances, workshops, and future developments for Artist-In-Residence, at the Studio.
  • Archival material on previous activities at the Studio including various digital media to display aspects of past presentation and performances.
  • Postings for conference dates which are of particular interest to Arts-Based Researchers

It is our expressed hope that you find the Arts-Based Research Studio blog an informative and inspiring medium for a type of engagement with the practical and theoretical dimensions of qualitative and Arts-Based Research work. Please send us your feed back as it is our intention to be exploratory, open and responsive with this medium which posses both certain advantages and certain obstacles to our particular arts-based perspective concerning community based, participatory arts-based research methods as developed by Diane.
